Official Rules: By His Hand / ScareFest 17 Coloring Contest
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
- Eligibility: The By His Hand Coloring Contest (the “Contest”) is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of ScareFest are not eligible to enter or win. Void where prohibited by law.
- Contest Period: The Contest begins on July 21st at 12:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time (“PDT”) and ends on October 1 at 11:59 PM PDT (the “Contest Period”). All entries must be received by the end of the Contest Period.
- How to Enter:
- Download an official ScareFest Coloring Book page from the link provided..
- Color one (1) page from the coloring book.
- Post a photograph or scan of your completed colored page via Facebook or Instagram and tag Scarefest Weekend and William Perry
- Include your full name, mailing address, email address, and phone number with your submission.
- Limit one (1) entry per person. Multiple entries from the same person will not increase your chances as only one image (chosen randomly) will be judged. Additional entries will be discarded.
- Judging: Entries will be judged by a panel of qualified judges based on the following criteria:
- Creativity (40%): Originality and imaginative use of color and design.
- Technique (30%): Skill in coloring, neatness, and attention to detail.
- Overall Impression (30%): The overall appeal and impact of the colored page. Judges’ decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest.
- Prizes:
- Grand Prize (1 Winner): Two (2) tickets to ScareFest in Lexington, Kentucky. Please note: Transportation and lodging are NOT included and are the sole responsibility of the winner.
- Second Prize (1 Winner): One (1) signed copy of the By His Hand Coloring Book and signed copies of the novelettes “By His Hand” and “Out of His Mind” by William Perry.
- Winner Notification: Potential winners will be notified via email or phone within 3 days following the end of the Contest Period. Winners will be required to reply and provide contact information in order to receive their prize within 7 days of notification. Failure to do so may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
- General Conditions: All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which are final and binding in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or acts in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.
